Tamara I. Schmitz is recognized by Continental Who’s Who among Engineering Professionals. Tamara is the Senior Principal Applications Engineer and Global Training Coordinator with Intersil Corporation.
Tamara is an expert in the field of Electrical Engineering, including the areas of Applications Engineering and Training. Her vast expertise has afforded her the opportunity to serve in many positions within the field of Education. Tamara has worked as an Assistant Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering at San Jose State University, and has held the roles of Lecturer, Co-Teacher, and Teaching Fellow at Stanford University. Tamara’s dedication to both the fields of Engineering and Education has earned her numerous Grants awarded to her while at her teaching positions. These include Grants from Agilent Technologies/Verigy Corporation, San Jose State University, National Semiconductor Corporation, and Intersil Corporation.
Additionally, Tamara has received vast recognition for her professional accomplishments. She was inducted into the Affton High School Community Hall of Fame in 2010; Received an Online Training Award from Intersil’s Sales Training, IEEE Certificate of Recognition, Outstanding Service Award to a Graduate Student, Centennial Teaching Assistant Award for Outstanding Teaching, and the Hugh Hildreth Skilling Award for Excellence as a Teacher Assistant.
Tamara received her Ph.D. in Radio Frequency Technology, M.S. in Electrical Engineering as well as a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, all from Stanford University.
