Raymond J. Termini is recognized by Continental Who’s Who among Law Professionals. Raymond is a partner in the Dallas office of Patton Boggs and also in its Abu Dhabi and Dubai offices.
Raymond’s primary area of expertise is real estate and he has represented clients in all areas of real estate, including acquisitions, sales, development, operations, management, leasing, financing, refinancing and workouts (as borrower and as lender) of commercial properties. He works with clients to structure complex real estate transactions and develop the appropriate vehicle for reaching improved and unimproved real estate. His practice includes the formation of partnerships, limited liability companies, joint ventures and corporations for the purpose of acquiring and developing real estate. Such matters include data centers and telecommunication facilities, office towers, regional shopping centers, hotels, restaurants, theaters, golf course development and multifamily dwellings. Raymond also counsels clients on general business matters involving the sale and acquisition of businesses, mergers, employment agreements, buy-sell agreements and factoring and finance agreements.
Raymond has been very active in legal matters in the Arabian Gulf Region for several years. In 2007, he opened the Patton Boggs' first project office in Dubai, where he devoted a significant portion of his practice to representing Arabian Gulf clients in their real estate related matters in the UAE and in Qatar. Raymond has written several articles on the real property laws of the UAE. He specializes in assisting clients in creating value for their real estate properties.
Before joining Patton Boggs, Raymond worked in Kuwait with a Dallas-based firm’s affiliated office, representing Kuwaiti and other clients in the preparation of claims for damages against Iraq pursuant to United Nations Security Council Resolutions.
Raymond is a Life Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation, Charter Member of the Dallas Bar Foundation, and holds memberships with the World Affairs Council, American Jewish Committee, Dallas Chamber Music, The Real Estate Council, Hawkamah, and UTSouthwestern.
In addition to his role with Patton Boggs, Raymond enjoys International travel and has traveled to several countries in the Middle East and South Asia.
Raymond earned his Master of Comparative Law from SMU Law School, and received his J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law. Raymond completed Undergraduate studies in the areas of History and Political Science at Tulane University and The University of Edinburgh, Scotland.
