Orville Almon, Jr. is recognized by Continental Who’s Who among Law Professionals. Orville is an attorney with the firm Zumwalt, Almon & Hayes PLLC.

Orville has practiced entertainment and music law for 28 years. His responsibilities include representation of recording artists, producers, and songwriters. In addition, he works with record company executives, publishers, television production companies, managers, and other entertainment related clients. Orville has extensive experience with negotiating existing agreements, new technology issues, drafting language for difficult-to define issues as well as “issue specific” agreements, and negotiations.

Additionally, Orville has received many honors for his dedication to the Law Profession. He has attained the highest rating, “A/V” by renowned LexisNexis Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings. He was also chosen as one of the “Best Lawyers in Nashville” by the Nashville Post in 2002, and is listed in the 2007 edition of “The Best Lawyers of America” and “Super Lawyers of the Mid-South”.

Orville participates in many Professional Organizations and is a member of the American, Tennessee, and Nashville Bar Associations. He is also a member of the Country Music Association and Leadership Music Alumni, and currently serves as Co-Chairman of the Artist Program for the 2009 Leadership Music Class. Orville has also given numerous presentations at civic organizations as well as universities, and has presided over CLE presentations as well as served on CLE panels.

Orville received his B.S. degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting from University of Missouri at Columbia. While attending, he was inducted into Phi Eta Sigma, a national fraternity honoring academic achievement during the freshman year and into Beta Alpha Psi, the national accounting fraternity honoring academic achievement in accounting. In addition, Orville is a Distinguished Military Graduate from the Army ROTC program, where he served 4 years in the Army until resigning his commission as a Captain to enter law school at University of Memphis in 1979, where he graduated from Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. While attending law school, he was selected to the Memphis State University Law Review for his academic achievement and elected to the Editorial Board of the Law Review as Administrative Editor. Upon graduation he was selected as a member of The Order of Barristers for exhibiting excellence and attaining high honor through the art of courtroom advocacy.
