
Marlio Paredes, Ph.D. is recognized by Continental Who’s Who among Mathematics Education Professionals. Marlio is a Professor of Mathematics at the University of Turabo, located in Puerto Rico.
Marlio is extremely proficient in the areas of research and teaching Mathematics. He performs research in Differential Geometry and Applied Mathematics and Mathematical Physics. He enjoys looking for, and finding, connections between Mathematics and Engineering.
In addition, Marlio is a member of the American Mathematics Society; Brazilian Mathematical Society, and Colombian Mathematical Society. He has also received many honors as a result of his integral studies in Mathematics. He received the CAPES Fellowship (1996-2000) in Brazil; COLCIENCIAS Fellowship (1996-2000) in Colombia; and the ICFES-BID-UNIVALLE Fellowship (1984-1986) in Colombia. Furthermore, Marlio takes part in the Erdos Number: 2, Erdos Number Project, run by Jerry Grossman of Oakland University.
Marlio received both his B.S. and M.S. in Mathematics from the Universidad del Valle, Columbia; He received his Ph.D. in Mathematics from the State University of Campinos, Brazil.
