August 5, 2011, Ottawa, ON, Canada/Continental Who’s Who/- Evelyn is a book designer for publishers and self-publishing authors. She specializes in book cover design- a crucial part of a book’s marketing- and works with high end printers and publishing on demand (POD) firms. In addition, Evelyn is a published author of “In my Garden.” She has designed thousands of covers as well as publishing hundreds of books and publications.
Evelyn’s design talent is greatly appreciated by her clients who attest to the fact that she is, “Professional, knowledgeable, and also friendly” (Susan Phillips), as well as able to, “provide creative and technical excellence. Service is amazing” (Anita Flegg).
In addition to her work with Budd Publishing, Evelyn also publishes a community magazine pro bono and is active in the volunteer community in roles such as Sunday School Teacher, Pastoral Care Worker, and Church Communications Overseer.
Evelyn is a member of the Registered Graphic Designers of Ontario (RGD Ontario), Canadian Association of Professional Speakers (CAPS), and EWomen. She has worked on contract since 1996 with the Canadian Healthcare Association and CHA Press. She is the recipient of City Volunteer Awards, Sports Awards, Entrepreneur Awards and was recognized by RGD Ontario for logo design.
Evelyn, a life-long member, continues her studies in Graphic Design and Marketing at Algonquin College and through professional conferences and workshops.
